New Year’s day.
Today marks the first day of the year 2013. For a lot of people that means shoving their faces with some questionable “food” and guzzling lots of booze. Even more people make new year resolutions where they resolve to do something…sort of. I think new year resolutions are kind of lame. Why? Let’s look at the definition according to Dictionary.com
- a resolve or determination: to make a firm resolution to do something.
- the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.
The first bullet describes what most people do, they resolve to do something. The second bullet is what seems to be missing for most people…the ACT of resolving. Action is what makes the resolution worthwhile. Without a plan and acting on the plan we all just flail about aimlessly. I know, I did it for years and still do it on occasion.
This website is a perfect example of my own resolution. January 1, 2012 I resolved to move my fitness training and health coaching online so I could help as many people as I possibly could in their journey. I made a LAME resolution with no real plan of action. Until recently I had been kind of floating through my ideas willy nilly. One day I remembered just how I lost over 110lbs of fat and what I stress with my clients…BUILD A PLAN and EXECUTE.
So that is what this post is really about. My plan for this site and my business and YOUR health. This year I want to personally help over 100 people meet their health goals. Your goals can be related to strength, fat loss, meal planning strategies, stress relief, family time, whatever. How will I do that? What is my plan? I will use this site as a place to provide information to help you find your own path to meet your goals. For those who want one on one training it will be available live if you live in the area and distance via skype and recorded video as long as you don’t have any major health issues. If you want to learn how to make a change in your life from someone who has done it already, you are in for a treat. I’m really looking forward to serving you this year.
